Velocity stacks say carbs, can't quite make out the text on the mesh cover, think it says "Boss", the '05 has a supercharger, and a much different interior. You're correct on the shiftier location. That's definitely a kit car.
Velocity stacks just mean individual throttle bodies, which can be fuel injection or carbs.

True, somehow forgot individual throttle body fuel injection, but they definitely mean it's not a 2005. Thinking about it, you can get the Superperformance cars with Borla FI, and that might be the logo I'm seeing on the fly catcher.

Hilborn mechanical fuel injection was pretty common on race cars back in the day.
