Kinda strange...almost like the banks were not build to withstand fire and extremes? I kinda thought the point of a bank was to make a "safe" building...oh well.
Ever seen one being built ? They use basically the same standards as a house with the exception of the vault. Just a bunch of wood, drywall and brick encasing a steel closet.

Well, I saw the vault left by a tornado in OK a few years ago. Everything else gone. Yeah, they put them together like some pre-fab house like most buildings, instead of "really" building a bank. But I still maintain that the point of a "bank" is to be a "safe place".

On the other hand, wonder if we'll see many more close down, as they are just not needed anymore. Very few translations really require them and can be handled by a more central location...
