Friend of mine in highschool hit a cow out in open range after dark, in central valley fog. Totaled his car too, but yours looks worse than I remember his being.
Damn son. Did your car take out its legs and it sat down in the passenger seat?
Pretty much.
They do tend to be fairly large, I ducked over and still got sat on.
I can confirm - Cows are heavy.
Well the canoe trip was a moderate success.
Was a bit worried as neither kid has been in the bush for a half dozen years.
They both want to go back.
We did have to cut things a bit short however. My wife caught her shin on a branch whilst hoping from one shoreline rock slab to another.
Cleaned her up, with nary a peep out of her and got ready to head out the next morning.(way to late in the day to even think leaving) As we are cleaning up after making dinner she looks down, and pulls a baby fingernail sized chunk of shin-meat out of her sandal. 
She paddled and portaged without complaint the next day. I know I would have been crying like a little bitch both at the alcohol cleanup and the tripping. 
I'm just really glad we were only a day in...
End result was 15 stitches in a nice V for Vacation shape.
I will spare you a pic - mostly 'cause I'm not sure I can get the NSFW tags to work...

No. I don't think the climate here is right for good chilies. But the local grocery store gets a huge shipment of Hatch every summer. At $1.99 a lb it would probably cost me more to grow them.
