well that's another project, in fact it was the original project of passive house on 1 acre lot.

The "off the grid" is still in the back of my mind and I still check the internet for large parcel of land for sale. Since Covid, large lots are selling like cupcakes for ridiculous amount.
We have been passively eyeing property for 2 years now and the last 6 months has seem a bunch of the 2-5 acre stuff we watch get snatched after sitting forever.

I was eyeing a cheap piece of property next to the Cascade river in a rather spectacular corner of the Cascade mountains. It was cheap because there is a 100% chance that the river will flood and that lot will become the new river at some point in time.
