How long is your commute? Do you ride always? rain, snow, dead of night etc.?Work was shitty. Ride home was pretty good.View attachment 153765
Only 3.5 miles. Not bad. Used to ride every day, pretty much every weather. Ability to shower/change into scrubs there is key. Have gotten lazy this last year...How long is your commute? Do you ride always? rain, snow, dead of night etc.?

Y though? Factory lube on new chains FTW.View attachment 153769
Freshly MoltenSpeedWax’d (mspeedwax.com) fresh new chain. I pull out the sword, and start swinging, just randomly chopping on a crazy ass mission.
Impending doom. What's with the weird boston fetish?
I'd rather buy a new chain at that point.Seriously though, wax is the best lube I ever used in 30 yrs, wet or dry conditions. Also gives large extension in chain life.
It is a bit of a hassle though; You have to get the chain pretty much surgically clean first though: Soak in solvent degreaser then degreaser ultrasonic bath, 2x meths ultrasonic baths and soaks, finally 1x turps u.s.b, let evaporate out somewhere real clean, dip in molten wax per instructions, allow to set. Break links, dry brush, go. #thorough #ActuallyFun
After that you hardly have to touch it and can rinse it off after muddy rides and dust it off on dry ones.
Is it full of new clothes for the emperor ?How did you get a picture of my walk-in closet?
Music aside, that mix is awful. Thanks for the reminder
I can second this. I never pre-cleaned my chain to that extent and I still got great results. The bonus is that you can touch the chain if needed and not get a handful of dirty lube.Seriously though, wax is the best lube I ever used in 30 yrs, wet or dry conditions. Why so many heat zones in such a small space?
It's actually one zone (one thermostat) but 4 circuits. You don't want more than 300ft per circuits. I've got 3 at 240ft and one at 175ft. The last smaller circuit is for mechanical, mud room, half-bath and under stairs. I will be able to reduce flow to this circuit without affecting comfort of the main space. Why so many heat zones in such a small space?

Nice! Geothermal? You might be able to score some great rebates for energy efficient building practices (if we can get the programs set up in time... not much details yet, but we made this public last week. Lots more to come.)
three wise homeys arrived bearing gifts of face paint, hatchets, and Faygo, hollering a triumphant WHOOP WHOOP
Regular baseboard for rooms and bathroom. House will be uber tight and highly insulated (R-42 walls and R-75 roof) and we will have a wood stove. If it's anything like here now, upper heating is rarely working. Heat rises from lower level. No heat for second floor?
