A burnt out starter motor and a piece of steel shorted from the battery to a bonnet hinge at the same time.
Did the voltage drop from the short not allow the solenoid to disengage and the motor ran till it cooked, or two separate issues?

I was going to repsond that I studied engineering but that wouldn't really get me out from under that with duh vinchy<ahem> da Vinci.
Yes, stupid me realized that with the activity there must be mountains that has been pushed up with the plates moving but thank you for the update I love geography just have not studied that area much.
