my garage flooded today with 'insulation'

in two days when the temps drop again 32d ice is not going to insulate 60deg interior spaces

in -20 sure but that's not where we are
It sure aint -20 in alaska, but the ground temp probably keeps the snow cold, vs the air temperature there that turns it to water. It can (and does) rain on the snow in AK with little change in snow depth. Rain at 34 just doesn’t melt snow at 32.

It just dropped the snow pile out my back window like 3ft over the last 30 hours

and some of that was dense roof shoveled december pack shit

the walls around my house are vastly shorter and it was 39 degrees here for the high

I know it doesn't melt as fast as warmer rain, but this place just went through a very drastic change with cold rain on multiple feet of cold poofter snow
