I'm no tree hugger, but its always sad to me seeing healthy large trees get bulldozed for some stupid development.
That happens a lot here. After a section of trees is cleared out, they are supposed to replant. But nobody follows up on the replanting once it's been signed off so all that's been replanted typically dies a year later.
