I like Ska. and I like some punk, but find it mostly all sounds the same.
Why the blanket over the exchangers?
To keep dust and metal slivers from settling inside the coil bundle. That thing is from the early 50s and we are trying to keep the steel coils intact/clean as we can.
What is it?
Its an ammonia evaporator - used to refrigerate a large room that holds apples. This thing had 3 blower wheels on a common shaft and one of the pillar bearings died, making the whole shaft out of spec. It eventually ruined the whole fan assembly. We had a modern fan box made to spec and will be placing it on this thing.
How is that Phenix board working for you?
I'm getting around to it - had a bunch of projects jump up in front of it. I am hoping to dive in once I have a building to operate out of.
