Hang on.....your information is not correct concerning background checks for guns. They are 100% legal and performed everyday by licensed firearms dealers. What you are misunderstanding, is that there are ways to circumvent the background check and 3-day waiting period....which is what you are most likely hearing so much about. Non-licensed dealers can still sell firearms, subject to other federal, state or local regulations, and without making background checks. This exemption for private sales has been dubbed the "Gun Show Loophole," as these events are where many of those transactions take place.
Not completely true either, depends on the state, IE Montana I pay and walk out EVERY WHERE as a resident..... as a non resident you are plain not buying...... the waiting period is all state by state. etc etc

I was mocking the debate you have in the US where politicians treat the loophole in law as the most sacred thing they ever saw.
And if they closed that loophole, then why the hell would ANYONE go to a gun show?
That would be like going to a car show and not buying a car while you're there. Oh wait...

One time after a ride, I came through and a car was off the side of the road a ways up from his place and not far past, a little old lady in a TORRENTIAL downpour. I stopped and gave her a ride thinking it was her car. Nah, it was this dude's wife at 7pm at night walking to the store 3 miles away to get beer. She told me she just walked and everyone just gave her rides along the way.
They STINK like nothing you can imagine. You can actually smell the shack pedaling by.
