those broken ones werent pretend carbon, those are dymags. magnesium centers and carbon barrels.
YIKES!!! Are they the same manufacturer? Look to both have 10 spokes.....Pretend carbon wheel fail-

Yup as blackholio said they are dymags and I did a bit of reading up on the rim that broke and it said the owner did~ 60 track days some on full slicks with some impacts and a crack spread from a stamp in the casting. Even though the wheels were used hard and not inspected as expected Dymag paid for vehicle repairs and gave the owner a new set of wheels. That is what the internet said so it could be a complete load of ****!
I still think a full carbon wheel is better than some magnesium spoke bonded to a carbon rim, however the way those spokes are sitting there it looks as if something does penetrate through the rim.
