Cool story, bro: In Sweden, "fart" mean speed ("utfart" in this case, however, means exit) and "smäll" (pronounced "smell") means bang or impact. So, in Sweden, there is a joking translation of the expression "Det är inte farten som dödar, det är smällen" (It's not the speed that kills, it's the impact) which goes "It's not the fart that kills, it's the smell".
