Corvettes are 'meh'.
I would rather have something I can work on should it need to while being able to roll with just about anything on the street. Hard pressed to find anything close to it from a performance perspective for under $20k, let alone something that can do 30mpg.

But I felt the same way until I got my C4 and it was nothing compared to the Z06.

Dude... let's not even bring the retardation of automatic transmissions into this...
It just blows me away how many 10k mile 12 year old automatic Corvette's are for sale because they have moved on to an automatic C7. At least the Z06 was never offered in an automatic, but there is one for sale in Washington that's been converted to auto. :panic:

Exactly.

I will admit, I am wicked biased right now. I've been test driving 01-04 Z06's, one has 30k miles on it for $19k. I don't care what you do to that grocery getter, while it might be "a lot more fun to drive" than the Lexus, it's still a big ass box on wheels and will corner like one.

For reference (weight : power):
1999 Porsche GT3 2975 360 8.26
2000 Ferrari Modena 3241 395 8.21
2000 Porsche Turbo 3400 415 8.19
2001 Corvette Z06 3115 385 8.09

<edit> I'm sure they will sell a bunch of them, too. My buddy bought his mom a Cayenne S, it's funny. He has a 350Z, his is a bit funner to drive.
while the corvette has decent stats its still a white trash mobile plain and simple, always has been always will be. Can take the car out of the trailer park, but cant take the trailer park out of the car
