The Chinese still can't make a worthwhile engine, nor can they build an original design, as long as we don't allow them to get 100% of the f35 via espionage we'll always be a bit ahead of them. The Russians can sorta build a decent engine, they just can't afford to build a fith generation fighter to stick it in. As far as unmanned air dominate fighters, I thinks it's closer than you'd think, but suspect we'll have a half generation of evolution to either the f35, or some sort of super raptor before we see a totally unmanned airforce.

I've heard that too. I will be curious to see if manufacturers try to "fix" vehicles already sold under the auspices of being "green", or do they just scratch epa a big check and apologize profusely (mainly to their shareholders).There will be other manufacturers too, I think. VW was only the tip of the iceberg.
