What kind of V 8 has the intake and exhaust on the same side of the head?
Those blowers are tipped to the side. Looks like intake is on top of the heads.

Looked again. Intake ports look like they are above the exhaust but on the side. Odd.

serious identity crisis. Just every aspect of the car oozed luxury too. Seating, controls, features.

As for the RS6, well because america.
Well that's a  for Ingolstadt...
I'd imagine the market for cars like the RS6 would be pretty big in the states.
Here in Switzerland you can see a lot of them. Like A LOT.
But them Mercedes' are really appealing too. Rwd for the win, right?

From a dead stop its kinda worthless with just rwd, but on a roll at 50mph. 115mph comes at the blink of an eye. In manual mode the dowshifts have such a glorious german v8 snarl. This thing did everything except launch like a missile in full afterburn. Its not my favorite looking car, but it does so much other stuff so amazingly that its looks arent an issue. If it wasnt a handbuilt motor and still 70K used it would be a serious contender for my next dealer visit

The Allroad is the only wagon offered by Audi in the US right now. (I like mine.) Pimp wagons like the RS6 just don't do very well in the states. Common theory is that for the money, most 'Muricans would rather drive a really nice SUV/Crossover. But of course, most americans don't take driving very seriously anyway.
