More vegetables and less meat is just fine with me. I have gotten past the American ideal of a sandwich consisting largely of an inch and a half of dead animal.
The banh mi is all about the ratios. It is a perfect balance of bread/veg/meat along with the hot/cold. It is so simple, but the flavors are so complex. I have had many good ones, but this one is spot on. I would go so far as to say it is my #3 sandwich (cheese steak from Ben is #1, schnitzelwich is #2). Dammit, time for a schnitzelwich today, I guess.

There is a mound of spicy pork stuffed in the bottom of all that goodness. The heat (and there is some serious heat)of the pork with the cool crunch of the veggies (get extra jalapenos) wrapped in a slightly crusty, but chewy baguette. It's spot on, seriously one of my top 5 sandwiches.

<edit> @jdcamb knows a good banh mi, right?
I can support your efforts fully...... I have been getting Curry Beef Bahn Mi's lately.

Couldnt care less if i lose my rm mancard cause appearently (for some people) its "teh ghey" to eat less meat, but the scale of suffering to animals caused by the meat industry isnt worth it to me.
i know this might seem like a horrible murican thought...but......the less fucks you give about what other people think....the happier life is.
