Granted, but the effects aren’t terminal. Yet.
First of all interred Japanese families were not separated and secondly if you know anything about Japanese society you know that just isn't how they do things. There was pretty much zero resistance by the Japanese during occupation after WWII. Compare that to the French resistance when occupied by Germany.
