Ya, I figured I opened myself up for that one.I assume this is experience talking?
After seeing what a buddy went through after he got back from a tour (bar-band circuit in the 80's) I was REAL careful, no way I was going through that.

To be fair, it's what Mike uses on teh gay. Can't argue with results?

When grandma went to the home there were boxes upon boxes of "collectable" plates.I think the reference there would be MIL.
But they were limited edition!!!When grandma went to the home there were boxes upon boxes of "collectable" plates.
That shit should be illegal.
They couldn't have been that limited, based on the piles of them in the garage, still boxed up.But they were limited edition!!!
When my grandfather died he left a 7 car garage stacked from floor to ceiling with stuff, including a 1917 Diamond T dump truck no one knew he had. The attic and basement of the house were similarly stuffed. Thankfully he didn't hoard garbage and we auctioned it off in large lots, it was enough for my grandmother to retire on, that did include sale of the property. Each of the grandkids got a half gallon scoop of old coins. When grandma went to the home there were boxes upon boxes of "collectable" plates.

Seven car garage sounds very, i dunno, Connecticut-ish. Where was this? Any cool cars hidden in there? When my grandfather died he left a 7 car garage stacked from floor to ceiling with stuff, including a 1917 Diamond T dump truck no one knew he had. Outside Redbank NJ. It was a very weird property. The house was a narrow row style house, possibly originally designed as a boarding house except no other houses were built next to it. In fact despite being more than 60 years old it was never finished. Half the downstairs was just bare studs. The front porch was supposed to have large granite steps, but the granite blocks just sat in a pile. No idea if my grandfather had the garages built but they were very old and had full attics. It had a certain urban redneck flair and would have been a rather grand building if ever completed and maintained.Seven car garage sounds very, i dunno, Connecticut-ish. Where was this? Sounds like it had character! There were a couple of crazy properties like that in Pelham, was definitely fun cruising around them as a pre-teen and causing trouble. most were from the roaring twenties, and were in various states of opulent decay...
My wife has agreed to use all of her parents "collectible" plates for skeet when they go. Theres no reason someone needs a set of red floral japanese plates and a set of crimson floral japanese plates. Like, WTF?They couldn't have been that limited, based on the piles of them in the garage, still boxed up.
were they just being stingy or were you not strong enough to carry a whole gallon? Each of the grandkids got a half gallon scoop of old coins.
