You should see the multi-million McMansions being built in my hood. Right on the street next to semi-permanent encampments and busy intersections. I couldn’t imagine dropping that much cash to live in a new house that nice in that spot (I know, people aren’t going to live there, it’ll be rented out for tiktok parties). What happened to “location location location” driving prices? I’m not saying Jenner’s message is thoughtful and caring, but the point of having “fuck you money” is being able to say “fuck you.” I don’t have a hangar but I’ve considered packing up my apartment.

This place is definitely in a mode of “if you’re angry at the same thing as me then I’ll vote for you” without even hearing what the plan is to change the thing.

For any individual, wouldn’t this be the case by definition? People without that kind of wealth have a much smaller impact without organizing in groups. Not to say that all wealthy individuals are the problem, but only people with that kind of wealth could be in the “part of the problem” group.

I think publicly funded elections would take care of the goal of that. It would create a system that doesn't inherently favor wealthy candidates who can fund their own advertising.
