I could see that on your Y-22, sitting on the side of a trail while you went out to pick flowers to put on your Camelbak.

Hippy.

Can you do stuff like this?

BTW FBMFactory did that. If you could do a pattern like that with the tattoo I would be inclined to have a few parts done.

Yeah, how much does that kinda stuff cost? How durable is it?
It's type II ano, nickle sealed and we use a #7 dye on our stuff on the uv resistant chart. Most places use #4 which fades after 2-3 years, Its a thin dye it,s cheaper and it dyes quicker. We don't use thin dyes due to the fact that alot of our stuff is used by the military, aerospace, laser systems, surveillance equiptment and alpine archery.
These are just some of the vendors we work with and they woud quit using us unless we have the highest integrity and make sure consistency is maintained at all times. Sorry, this isn't a brag session but when you do the international sales and marketing and deal with these individuals you have to be able to back your product up and they can put you under a microscope.
As to the finish, it's anodized so the color is actually in the aluminum and not a secondary coating like powder coat or paint.

He runs an LBS so he got bro deal.
And I get cost on stuff I need.
Probably not a good idea to post prices on bro deals. Gives people an unrealistic expectation of what it's going to cost them.

It's cool to see all this different anodizing, though. You guys must have a nice setup.

No because people on RM are getting bro deals right now.
I am doing a limited run for a while, for all rm members due to the courtesy that I have goten from them over time on suggestions and recomendations on equiptment and deals on stuff.
This is great for me, doing black parts and clear all day gets really boring. I owned Black Forest car audio in Vegas and a custom shop in San Diego, I prefer to test the limits of whats possible in any business custom wise. I did fiberglass enclosures, walls and whole interiors of vehicles multipe tv's etc... Custom spl systems and flames, patterns and company logos in peoples window tint at the shop in SD.
I will gladly do a custom projects for now at bro deals, It's alot more intresting and gratifying.
Plus there's too many ano shops that are not willing to push the envelope in custom work, they just zap and dye. There is so many posabilities in ano work that we find all sorts of area's that can be improved and made better over industry standards.

Mad props bro,,, I feel the same way. I was polishing for an ano shop in the late 80's and got to do some of my own stuff. You should have heard them giving me a bunch of crap when I was making a rack for my flashlight,,,"you don't need a hook at both ends" or when I was splashing acid on a perfectly colored part then applying another couler,,,"you can't do that" yea whatever.

This flashlight is 16 years old and in holds 7 C-cells. I call it the blind um and beat um light.
