7/20. Not quite sure what that proves.

*I said yes for "factory floor", based on my years in the hangar. That could possibly be a "no". not sure how that would change the score.

Have you ever lived for at least a year as an adult in an American neighborhood in which the majority of your nearest 50 neighbors probably did not have college degrees?
I lived in Medford for a year. 98% of the population there lacks a high school diploma.

12/20, and I too have no idea what that means. I rode a bus to bootcamp and Outback Steakhouse has a gluten free menu, so of course I go there. Not that it's great or anything.

7. So what it is telling me is that I should drink ****ty beer, watch NASCAR, go back in time and befriend morons in highschool, watch ****ty movies and befriend people who live unhealthy lifestyles so I am more connected with the masses? Pretty silly poll.

when i adjust for duplicate answers, i.e., were only a direct result of being in the military, and nowhere else:

4/20

(parades, busses, uniform, soreness @ end of work day, majority of 50 neighbors non-college grad, ... i forget the last one)

13 out of 20, bishes. Site says "you don't even have a bubble."

That would explain why I am so much wiser and fairer than all of you.

Result

On a scale from 0 to 20 points, where 20 signifies full engagement with mainstream American culture and 0 signifies deep cultural isolation within the new upper class bubble, you scored between 9 and 12.

In other words, even if you're part of the new upper class, you've had a lot of exposure to the rest of America.

13 out of 20,
You're so full of shlt. :D

I hit a proud 5/20 thanks to the pickup truck, manual labor in my job with mandatory higher education requirements, and living in 'the poor' neighborhood in a resort town.

The premise of that questionnaire that isolating yourself is somehow a bad thing is hilarious. I worked really hard to get this way........for a reason.

or as the military would call them, "mandatory formations"; exactly like the one pictured on question 16

so, is -- as charles murray suggests -- white america coming apart? i would tend to think the neighborhoods of working class whites are being replaced by a more racially diverse crowd, and whites are more upwardly mobile by building more mcmansions. perhaps he means "white trash america is coming apart", and with it traditional racism.

isn't this great? no more racism! it will just solve itself, no?

6/20. The idea that I need to "get out more" to become a part of the mainstream, obese, ignorant, unhealthy, swill-drinking, redneck 'Merican culture is disturbing to say the least.

"New upper class bubble" somehow equals anything but NASCAR, Bud Lite, and Jeebus followers? Let me guess, he also equates "upper class elites" with riding the subway...

13/20. I've worked on a factory floor and as a general contractor, owned a pickup truck, lived in a rural areas where education wasn't prevalent... I'm not sure where purchasing cheap beer equates to cultural diversity, though.
