Right now I have a rear hayes hydrolic disk brake. I am going to be buying a set of razor rock levers for it and the new disk that I will be purchasing for the front. The rear is champaign colored with two screw attachment on handelbar(dont know year). Will the same levers fit the new purple hayes hydrolic as well my old rear brake?? I had heard somewhere that different brakes needed different model rr leavers.

The single pinch bolt 99/00 including the purple ones levers are different than the dual pinch bolts 00/02, they use a pressed in pin. Also if you have changed the blatter, the adjustment screw will be different. flat screw driver or allen. Use the correct barrel in the lever.

you might call RR cause I think they are out of stock on the levers and I know they are out of stock on the rear drop outs for my Super 8 and they do not know if or when they will make anymore (going through a buy out)

kinda sucks!

but my friends RR levers needed to med slightly machined to fit his Purple Hayse (can't remember the year). It seems at least early Purples had a slightly narrower opening for the lever where the pivot bolt attaches the lever. Things may be different on later model Purples.

THe difference is so slight you could probably take care of it with a file and a couple beers.
