Ok to cut a long story short I have a 135mmx12mm hub but my bike is meant to take a 142mm. It fits in fine but will this damage my frame?

how does a 135mm fit into a 142mm rear end?

It is possible you could make this work with a spacer on the axle, but you'd have to do some funny stuff to make the chain and brake line up. Don't flex the frame that far. That's hell of bad for it.

also, not too many frames on the market that are running the 142 spacing, its less than a year old. more info on your setup would help.
