it *could* be done. you'd have to get a solid threaded axle, then the problem is finding cones for your hub that not only fit the hub shell, but also match the threading of the axle. i've done it once in the past (when i was a shop mechanic). took me a while to find everything. honestly was a huge pain in the butt.

that is the cheaper option.

the easier and more expensive option is to get a new wheel with a bolt on hub.

just a note - you're going to need a bolt on hub. not a thru axle hub.

Fire Eye had a rear hub which could be swapped between QR and a solid thru axle, a friend of mine runs it on his Black Market Mob. But you're right Jon. I'm running a DMR revolver, which has a (female) bolt-on axle.

most high end hubs (hadley, profile, few others) can be easily retrofitted between QR, thru-axle, and bolt on. i know with my hadleys the bolt on is the same as the thru-axle, but it uses a special bolt on axle that hadley makes.

a few other companies make conversion kits, but for the bike OP has, it would be a pieced together setup from small parts.

...make sure you get the right spoke hole count on the hub to match your rim.

good that your hoops are true, but what JonK was saying was to order a hub that has a matching spoke hole count. Er go... you can't lace a 36h hub to a 32h hoop.

For the aniki, you should be using a 10mm thru axle. I have a NoNaim hub with a 10mm thru axle on my DB Mission III. Definitely more rigid than a QR setup. Good Luck!

technically it CAN be done... but its a janky setup and should only be done by experienced builders. and even then only as a temporary solution.
