my fox vanilla rc blew up for the second time in less than a month. i guess that 3 foot drop om a 9 inch travel bike is too much. any suggestions? i am looking at a risse. not too many people make a shock with a 8 3/4 eye yo eye. help i need a new one asap and am going to order one on monday morning

I went to the Avalanche site and noticed that there is atleast 4/5 8.75 eye to eye shock.

the risse is a good choice. they're just about the toughest shocks out there.

im with myroc. i dont have any experience with the avalanche shocks, but they seem to be the best.
Hey - I've got an 8.75 E to E Stratos Helix DH layin' around. It's a good shock, it's just that Stratos' customer service is so bad it's ridiculous! It was just rebuilt and I know they did a good job 'cause it took them three months!
i am gonna go with the risse. avalanche doesn't make a shock to fit the leverage ratios and my weight. spoke with craig over there and he said that he wouldn't be able to make anything until a heavier spring was produced. i do want an avalanche though for my other bike

A freind of mine just got an Risse rear shock for his S8 and he has about 3/5 rides on it and its already starting to leak.
