Yikes, that's like a 6 hour drive each way, I know I did it in 2003. I take it you're only planning on seeing one day's events?Mustang85 said:I'm going!!!

Yup. ....Well, actually, you need to walk ~20ft to the other side of the road, but...you get the idea.merrrrjig said:Looks like im camping prolly, Camped at havasu when its 100 at night and at mammoth when its below freezing, so it shouldnt be too bad. Can you camp right at the bottom of the red bull event>?
You'll have to outdrink an awful lot of locals to pull that off.karmataburn said:We will be and there staying in springdale. I plan on becoming the town drunk for the weekend .
Meh, more like three hours but the drive sucks. It's very, very boring in central Utah.Kornphlake said:Yikes, that's like a 6 hour drive each way, I know I did it in 2003. I take it you're only planning on seeing one day's events?
We found a hotel room for less than $50 in hurricane, I think I booked it about a month in advance online, it seems like it was a motel 6 or super 8 or maybe a travelodge. St. George really isn't that far, nor is Cedar City, both sit about an hour away on an open stretch of desert highway, St. George has dozens of hotels, stay away from the Hamptonthough, the beds are really uncomfortable, really uncomfortable, I think sleeping on the floor would be better.
I think I might be able to hang with some of your best .Darryl said:You'll have to outdrink an awful lot of locals to pull that off.
You STILL haven't developed that roll?Kornphlake said:I've got a roll of film from two years ago that needs to be developed, maybe I'll get that done since I can't be at rampage and I'll just post them as if they were from this year.

Congrats.Cooter Brown said:we're leaving tuesday afternoon from oklahoma to head that way, couple days at bootleg are in order as well
oh yeah, we're getting married on site at the rampage, so that's yet another reason to get soused
Well, I guess that's going to kill our shuttles on Blow Hard, eh?gschuette said:I am here in Cedar City UT. It is about 40 minutes from Virgin, but I drive fast. Anyway it has been cold and rainy for 3 bays. Brianhead the ski resort already has a 42" snow base in 3 days. According to the radar I have seen it has been raining in the Virgin Rockville area as well. As of now the weather sucks.

GODDAMMIT!

There is better riding in the Zion/Gooseberry/Virgin area than there is in the Brianhead area. Timberline at Brianhead is a really fun trail but it is on the ski slopes in the summer so I can guarantee you that you won't be riding that trail. Stay in the Virgin area. You guys can find plenty of cool stuff to ride down there.MikeD said:Yeah, there's plenty of riding without Brian Head...in fact, the trip will be less hectic now...but BH is my favorite riding up there. Blowhard is just the coolest trail ever. It's not very hard or anything, but it's just so fast and flowy and amazingly beautiful and LONG...alas, alas.
Donnie, don't fret, as we'll still hit some awesome, awesome riding. Or we can rent snowmobiles.

Yeh, I'm pretty familiar with it all; I just like to make BH a part of my visits to the area...we'll be hitting up all the rest of it, I assure ya...gschuette said:There is better riding in the Zion/Gooseberry/Virgin area than there is in the Brianhead area. i hope it rains...that'd be interesting to say the least.
