Nice! Is that another Randall Scott purchase?

Cool looking bike! It'll be way faster in the 40k if you put a disc rear and tri spoke up front :p

I am enjoying the bike so far, I am almost use to the Ultegra shifters and the compact crank, but I havent got the Front-Deral dialed in properly yet, oh and the Selle San Marco Ponza saddle - ouchy, that thing has to go asap!

Realistically more like 16 , running in 34/12 , or 50/25 is Bad and Just plain stupid ! and I'm sure there is over lap.

Nice setup

I'd think about changing 50/34 for something on the order of a 53/37
I seek out the hills, so 50/34 should work - plus I doubt I'd be spinning out 50-12 very often.

Now that that's out of the way, my real comment:
If I'm going fast enough to spin out anything above a 50-12, I could be going a decent amount faster just by tucking and coasting.

And when I get to the bottom of the hill, and have to go back up, I'm sooo grateful for the 34-25 combo...
