I recently installed an mrp on my bike, but every few days the drive-side bb cup would come loose and the chainguide would rotate like crazy. I decided to loc-tite the thing into the shell. I borrowed a bottle of the stuff from my friend. I knew I should use red for this type of thing, and the bottle to the stuff was all red and on the label it didn't say anything about what kind it was. But when I started putting it on the threads the liquid was blue. Is this still considered red loc-tite or is it the pernament stuff?

If you used red on the bb you'd have a very difficult time removing it when it was time. I think with red you need heat to remove the part. There are many grades of locktite though and you can't go just by colour. There is a green for interference fit parts like crown races and another green which will wick into already assembled stuff. I don't know the number system at all but I'mm bet they have a web site explaining it all.

Yeegad! You're lucky you used the Loctite BLUE, which is exactly right for that installation if you need a threadlocker. Blue can be broken loose with reasonable effort, but is effective against most vibration loosening. The RED would have bonded that baby but good, and you'd have to gently TORCH it to get it back open. Always fun, putting the torch to the bike!:monkey:
