well i was given a dell xps m1530 laptop but i want to wipe it out completely. do i just need to select all the defaults when i start reinstalling the OS? its windows vista home premium.
well...got it reinstalled but now nothing works....internal wireless, video card, webcam, thumbprint scanner.....looks like im going to be sending it to dell or something to get all the drivers reinstalled......lame. they didnt include a driver disc like they used to.
yeah i have looked at that option but the problem is i have no idea which ones i need. i am not the most computer literate person and dont want to put a million drivers on there that i dont need.
One of the most useful things to have handy when re-installing the OS is a second PC nearby and a thumb drive you can use to d/l drivers from one and bring them over to the new OS.
wireless - you may just need to re-enter your WEP key.
