Is it ever acceptable to date a friend's old boy/girlfriend?


I recently found out that an old girlfriend of mine (we broke up in the spring) is dating a guy I know. I am friends with the guy, but not really good friends or anything; we just were in the same groups of people.

BUT- the dude just got out of a very long relationship with one of his new girlfriend's good friends. His old girlfriend is extremely pissed.

Does she have a right to be angry? Should she expect that this kind of thing not happen?

Make sure and tell your freind that every time he kisses her, he's tasting your ****. If he doesnt mind, and you dont care...who cares what his old GF thinks. Might as well hit that just to settle the whole thing.

Just to clarify: I have no real stake in this, I'm just interested in the question.

Two of my good friends are no longer on speaking terms, so that bothers me. If I were in the position of my ex, I'm not sure what I would do.

Mandi and I will be together for 4yrs on the 26th of this month. we started dating 2 weeks after she broke up with one of my good friends. no bridges burned, either.

Depends on how good the friend is. Real friends are few and far between, but dates are easy to find. If the chick is worth risking the friendship over, go for it. If not, find a different girl.
