This 23 October marks the 25th anniversary of the Beruit Embassy bombings that took the lives of 241 Marines, Sailors and Soilders and wounded more than 100 others.

On that Sunday in 1983, one lone truck bomb detonated and sparked what some have called the start of Islamic based terrorist attacks against the US.

I doubt much will be covered in the news amidst the important issues like Palin's wardrobe cost and Joe the Plumber but take a minute and think of the families that lost a loved one that day.

I know a few on this board hate the military and what it stands for, but those young men went in peace to help keep a fragile peace under orders of their country. Hate the system but respect the warrior.
