I'm swapping a bunch of parts over to a new (to me) frame, and the shifter cables are too short. How can I replace the cables? I can't figure out how to get to the end of the cable to remove it. They are Deore shifter pods.

There should be a little black plastic screw(.25" dia) on the shifter arm side. Remove and the cable should come out easily.
