no, I relied on what I heard from the seller and the shop that packed and shipped the frame. I guess that was my first mistake.
Glad to hear it's gonna work out ok, what a drag. Sucks but you really can't trust people you don't know with this kind of stuff.
Glad to hear it all worked out - but you should have left your post in the bad seller section. OR - re-write the whole thing stating everything that happened including how you came to a resolution.

well, 17 days since I was told my frame was coming back and still nothing.
Enough is enough. File a small claims lawsuit right as soon as you can. It's super easy and can be easily dismissed. Don't let this jerk-off continue to string you along. I mean, props to you for having some faith but this dude is a loser who will not listen to a threat. You trusted him to send the frame back and now you look like a pushover. Are you?

Some people have no conscience and will lie and cheat their way through anything. Before it seemed pretty clear that you backed off as part of some agreement to get your frame back. At this point there's just no excuse, the gloves should come off. It might be tempting to write it off and say "oh well, I learned my lesson" but don't let this clown get away with it.
