someone else mentioned speed bumps. The messed up thing about the particular area I'm discussing is that it's a city/county border. That means no one in LE wants to take responsibility on it. I've seen one cop issueing tickets in the last 15 years. I just might give them a call, that was a long time ago. And speed bumps? We can't even get them to keep up on potholes in this town...

One trick I've learned is to use the local media. Even if they do not want the story - just tell the police/mayor/council person that you contacted them... you'll get a response.

I know not everyone's spelling is perfect all the time, but you'd think they'd at least try on a job app or resume.

I worked as a TA. I laughed my way to tears on numerous occasions reading what was supposed to be a persuasive paper.

edit: It isn't about spelling in many cases. Making a post that makes sense, with spelling errors, would be more than satisfactory. Typos happen.

It isn't hard to take 2 mins and make sure what you are putting down on paper (so to speak,) is comprehensible and not simply a bunch of sentence fragments strewn together.

I'd also like you to point out, with a quote if at all possible, where I said all 18 year olds couldn't spell.

hahaha. thats actually not true at all with me. first of all, its not new, i was medically diagnosed 4 years ago. my parents are overprotective, you're right, but i'm not whiny or lazy. and i told my parents i might have attentional problems freshmen year. thats the only thing i agree with you on, that everybody "has" add. but that is absoultely not the case with me, i actually have it. and if you think im faking it, you're all wrong, and you're tellin this to the wrong person.

Dyslexia does indeed exist, only it is in about 1% of the people diagnosed with it.

I'm with you on add, adhd etc however. It's called, kids being kids and parents who would rather medicate them than parent.
