I live in a small country.BostonBullit said:why do people from countries that don't matter all that much in the global scope of things spend all their time analyzing the US government?
The United Nations said: NO WAR
The USA and England tried to get as many European countries as possible on their side. Well some countries, I would like to use Spain as an example, did choose the pro-war side and since then the whole thing became a 'intern' European conflict...and then there was the train bombing in Spain and the rest is history.
When our government didn't support the war on terror, didn't approve shipping
of US military goods through our harbors, didnt want to send any troops and told Bush (and Blair) that the ''evidence" they had was inaccurate and that it was immoral to start a war based on that information .....Bush and the US companies in Belgium told us to co-operate or they will take their business to another pro "war-against-terrorism" country.....well my friend THAT is plain ol' blackmail.
So the US politics affects us more than you might think, and we don't like it.
