"rhetorical" privacy question

This issue was raised in a philosophy class I took. Just an interesting question with regards to the privacy debate.


Secret Spying: Say you own property, and you've got a big back yard or something. Someone uses it as a shortcut to get home, without you knowing.

Ok, another one. Somebody hides outside your house, and watches you inside. Maybe they see private stuff-- maybe not, it doesn't matter, all they do is watch.


And another. You leave for work during the day, and someone walks through your house. They don't steal anything, affect the place in anyway, but they look around and walk through. ?????




I can't remember the professor's explanation of why these actions are wrong.... but they're interesting scenerios to think about.. let me dig out my old notes.
