Its about 60 miles north of Albany. Will be spending some time in the area next week. Bringing the DH bike, and my trail bike.

Anyone?

Also I will be in 7 springs for a day, Anyone know about that place?

I'm from Albany. There is some great single track in Saratoga Springs, or just outside of it. Check out http://www.saratogamtb.org/ Also, you'll find some great trail riding, if you aren't afraid of some climbing, at Spire Falls. check out http://www.dirtworld.com/trails/trail.asp?id=12421 the climb is super gnar but the single track up top is epic and the ride down is even better.

You could also ride some DH at West Mtn in Glensfalls, or make the trek up to Whiteface. Hope that helped.

all of that stuff is within an hour of chestertown btw

Dh bike = West Mtn (exit 18 on the Northway) and Whiteface (exit 30). Gore used to be open to DH (very close to where you'll be) but not anymore. West is weekends only and WF is 7 days a week.

Trail? I'm sure someone'll chime in on Adirondack trail riding, I am not so sure what's open vs closed in the ADK Park for bikes. If you go down "south" a bit, 2 places to hit are Spier Falls/Moreau Lakes State Park (exit 17s off the Northway) or the Saratoga Mountain Bike Association (SMBA) trails at exit 15. You'll need to buy a day pass for the SMBA trails - go to Elevate Cycles (also off exit 15) and they'll hook you up.

EDIT: Doh! E Rod beat me to it!

Thanks for the info guys! I'll be up there on friday or saturday then staying for a week. So I'll have to hit up those areas. If there are some closer local hike-a-bikes let me know.
