I will be moving out to Chicago in a couple of weeks for college and I was wondering if there was any good riding there. I am leaving my DH bike home but will be bring my hardtail. Any good skateparks or dirt jumps. For those of you who live there I am going to Columbia College, about 40 minute train ride from O'hare. It is right near where they built that crazy new park with the amphitheatre. In relation to whatever trails there are, how close am I.

well where you are in relation to ohare means dick, its all about downtown. Chicago has some kickass urban (brian knows this) as well as some sweet northshore stuff too. I'd bring both bikes if i were you, many HT riders even like the big bikes at CPX (the northshore park) which is in Joliet. As for some dirt jumps and crap like that locals will show ya around. If you have no car or even if you do you will learn that public transportation is your friend here. If youre going to the Columbia College im thinking of which is somewhere around the southern part of michigan Ave, youre only minutes from where we start urban rides every weekend. PM me when ya get here and ill show ya around
