I will be in Cork Ireland Mid April, and was curious what type of DH/AM riding goes on around those parts of the world. I imagine just riding anything country side would be amazing, but am looking for more a more scenic epic adventure.

Cheers.

cork is good spot, a few shuttle spots and plenty of am type riding. Most of the shuttle spots will be manageable on a 150/160mm bike.

get in touch with these boys http://www.021racing.com/ and im sure someone will show you round. Seen as Ireland is tiny. If you find yourself up near Dublin/Wicklow drop me a pm

as it happens im down that part of the country, Give me a shout and we can arrange a spin or 3

if your here in early April there's a DH race on about 30minutes up the road info http://crcidms.com/?p=81

after that as Al said bring a 150-160mm bike and there's a good mix of All mountain, short DH depending on transport etc

So turns out I will be in Cork next weekend for a few days. I brought an Intense Tracer and am looking for some trail riding, anything from single track to Downhill. I do not have a car but was wondering if its possible to ride my bike to some local spots, or take a train.

Cheers.

Anyone know what it would be like taking my AM bike on the bus from Cork To Ballyhoura MTB trails? Has anoyone ever ridden these trails? From the website it looks like a wide range of skill, but im having a hard time figuring out how to get there from Cork. Partially do to the capabilities of my interewebz.

Any advice let me know.

most of the spots are 20min to an hour away from the city but Clashnacrona in Dunmanway has a good variety of trails from Steep tech DH to a nice Enduro trail the Middle gorund (its mostly DH style but with a climb in the middle of it, Load of fun on a small bike)

the other spot worth heading to is Tracton woods near Carragaline, small forest but is riddles with XC/enduro stuff. personally I wouldn't Bother with the Ballyhoura trail centre, Good for getting the miles in on a wet day but thats about it if your an Experienced biker.

check your email there I should have something sorted for ya by the weekend :)
