Oskar Blues Ten Fidy imp stout...

Comes from a can, rough consistency of light sweet crude. No-holds-barred imperial stout, it definitely wasn't brewed to be anything but. Taste isn't quite as stoutily smooth as something like Old Rasputin or Squatter's Outer Darkness, as the hop profile gives the beer a sharp bite near the end and kind of assaults the tastebuds. Still, a very solid and tasty offering that I can't normally get in Utard.

I am happy to report that my beer-free August was a success and I lost 15 pounds during the month. Although I must confess that I did have a beer this past Sunday. Now that September is here, I can resume beering, though I have no intention of throwing those 15 pounds back.

If you want a night ender, Double Dead Guy is wicked good.

The Dead Guy Whiskey is pretty good. Their single malt whiskey is several orders of magnitude better...and only a few bucks more a bottle (I bought it at the distillery in Newport, OR...don't know the mark up in your neck of the woods).
