I can't say for sure what they are, but I can say for sure that they are not Rhyno Lites.

The OEM Rhyno Lites go under the name "Ditch Witch". If you look down to page 28 of this manual, you can see a profile of the Hillrod rims. They aren't the same as the Rhyno Lites. They look similar to the Singletrack rims but the link states they're specifically for XC use, so...

Hope that helps a little.

Yeah, thanks for that link.

The Hillrod weighs more than the rhyno lite, but is weaker I guess? Cause its for XC only?

It came on the Haro FR bike I bought a while ago too. Wierd.

My guess is that they're just super cheap rims. They seem to come spec'd on a lot of bikes with Deore-level components and bike manufacturers often skimp on their rims when they do the OEM specs.

Hence, their heavy weight but not being rated for anything harder than XC.
