Indeed. I'm not quite that OG, but some of my friends rode the old Lester Kasai decks back in the old neighborhood. I rode and still have my 1989 Sims Switchblade and 1990 Sims 1625 Halfpipe models. Since I didn't like the stock bindings, I used to spend hours drilling out Burton Freestyle bindings so they would fit. I started riding back when it was Kidwell and Palmer on the pro team along with Windell I think... Back in 90' the production decks were black like my Halfpipe model, but all the pros had these super cool white team-issue decks with purple and mint-green graphics.

Tom Sims was a pioneer in so many ways - he will be missed.
