does anyone know how to remove the axle clamps on the bottom of my risse champs, i'm trying to change the damping cartridge ,i got them all stripped apart from the long threaded pipe that runs down through the spring stack i cant remove this, i am trying to change the lowers and the cartridges, can anyone help or know where i can down load instructions on how to rmove these parts

The axle clamp's not coming off.

The damper is removed with a (custom, one of a kind) tool that reaches down into the stanction tube to remove it.The tool is a foot long, is T shaped and hollow so you can put the damper rod through the inside to reach the top of the damper cartridge, and it has a plus shape on the end, sort of like a phillips screwdriver, only flat to engage the cross flats on top.

Sorry bud but Risse is probably the only one wit the tool.

I had one a bunch of years back when i was all Factory Risse, but i don't have it any more- crap i think i threw it in the alu recycling bin just 3 months ago!!
