someone wants to put a mtb triple on their road bike...

typical road chainline is 43.5 - 45, modern outboard bb mtb triples are all 50 i think. road dropouts are narrower too, which could exacerbate a bad chainline.

anyone have any experience with this? i guess i'm going to have to just go ahead and try it and see what happens.

don't know, doesn't really matter to me. i discussed the issue with the owner, tried to sell him off the idea, but he just wants a mountain crank, which is ok with me, so long as it works fine
