Hey, I am new here, don't abuse me too much.
So I picked up a 00 rock shox judy xc to throw on an old frame that I had. I took the shock apart checked everything out and it looked pretty darn good. I replaced the oil and think I may have put too much oil in.
Testing things out, I was bunny hopping around and the right tp cap blew off
Too much oil I guess.
Anyway, there is a small rubber thing inside the top cap and the adjuster on top.
Everything seems to work well not that I drained some of the oil but I am curious as to whether or not I damaged that top cap by putting too much oil in it?
The top caps are just crummy plastic pieces.
I am most curious if the top cap serves as a valve at all?
Thanks in advance.
