I am a big fan of air shocks. I've had Fox DHX 5.0 Air on my two, previous Glories and I liked them. Yes, they didn't have enough mid-stroke damping, even for my "style" but they also had advantages.
Then, I heard that Manitou Evolver ISX-6 Intrinsic works better with Maestro, but I haven't had a chance to try it.
We have all seen some new proto RS shocks on Syndicate bikes, this March in RSA.

Have anyone heard/read anything more about this shock?

All I know was that Rockshox has been testing the air vivd for some time now. I think 3 or even 4 years. It would be interesting too see if it hits the market but I dont think its very necessary.

frango, i was talkin to some head engineers at manitou last night about the ISX6 and i might give it a shot when i receive my glory frame. if i do run this shock it will only be for the "smoother" style courses aka some fontana or like sea otter type courses. luckly we only have 1 course on the east coast like this and its 7 springs, 97% smooth rolling and jumps and 3% rocks. if i ever do testing on it ill let you know, but that wont be until about February.

Only thing I know is that Dave Turner mentioned that the new DW DHR will be compatible with the "...the air shocks from RS and Marz." So they are at least close enough to production to have CAD drawings out to mfg...

I wrote to "my man" at Sram about the shock, today. I hope I will get some more info.
