Yanked apart the domain, cleaned it, and in the process forgot where the thick plastic washer went. It's got a little recess for the spring to seat into so i put it in the top cap above the spring. I put the thicker, what i assume is the bottom out spring assembly, under the spring retainer bottom thing. I illustrated it in my picture.

The problem is it "thunks" when compressed, but operates fine otherwise.

The picture is how it's currently assembled.

From the diagram looks like you need to place both washers on top of the spring~
