Fractive is for Fit4 forks; https://vorsprungsuspension.com/products/fox-fit4-piston-kit , the kits use less-shimz than a standard Fit4 tune, so they're at least somewhat on trend.

There also used to be the TLA system for CTD-era forks but it's discontinued. I do have an old one I'd be happy to part with if anyone out there has a CTD fork and would like it to suck significantly less; https://nsmb.com/articles/vorsprung-tla-compression-system-reviewed/

i might have a line on a cheap 34 CTD... does is work with the 2015 model?
It should work with the 2015 model, may need to check the overall length depending on the chassis it's going into as it's out of a 26" fork. Worst case scenario would likely just be swapping the sealhead and rebound shaft from your 2015 fork onto the damper if it wasn't long enough.

Lad offered me a CR Conception kit on the cheap, took that. It couldn’t be much simpler, worth a shot (had one on my Pike too) before seeing if a Smashpot or whatever would work better
I keep seeing "contraception" in that...

Has anybody gotten a smashpot?
I'm about done with the air fork, I tried stock, updated internals and even a RUNT, I just don't like air.

So now I am in contemplating spring rate mode.
150mm travel with a bodyweight of 205.
Recommended normal spring is 198 lbs = 55lb / 209 lbs = 60lb
I figured at my weight that I would be either a 55 or 60 lb, probably 55 due to my TBI / Nerve damage; I'm always looking for a bit more suppleness.
Most of my trails are rolling forest with some short steep in and out of ravine sections, lots of roots, but no real chunk. E-mails to Vorsprung have resulted in recommendations of 50 lbs and on confirmation of that value it was recommended that I go even softer. Steve replied that 45 may work being I have an Avy damper that is much more supportive than stock and am riding primarily undulating terrain.

Chartwise I'm closer in weight to a compliant rate of 55 lbs, so am a bit leary of 45, my gut is saying 50, but Steve....

Thoughts?

I have one I sometimes use in a 180mm Lyirk (it's in a second set of uppers I have, I swap uppers when I want to use it), damper is a Charger RC2 w/ a Push HC97 compression assembly. Damping force is very strong in the Push unit. Vorsprung gives you three spring options based on your weight - soft, medium, stiff. I talked to Steve and based on all my variables including how I run the rear suspension of that bike (soft spring/a lot of sag as it's really progressive) he recommended the soft spring. No bueno, too much dive. I went up to medium and it's been good there.

I'm running a Smashpot since it was released. I'm weighing 66 kg/145 lbs and am using and loving it in a 36 at 160 mm. It was a bit stiff at 170 mm but will give it a try, again.
What's really nice is the bottom out damper, saved my ass a bunch of times. When I'm doing park laps with jumps into shitty landings I just close it a few clicks.

HBO is absolute gold when I've overshot jumps. Landing on the front end and not having it bang back up or bottom out is huge.

Pulled the trigger.
Fingers crossed the 50lb spring is the one.
Out of stock at the moment, so the wait begins.
Steve said the end of July is the realistic timeframe.
(at least he didn't say "2 weeks" )

Anybody interested in a 150mm DSD RUNT for a Lyrik / Yari? :brows:

I have the Push coil conversion. I would recommend the Smashpot. You can change the travel on it with out buying anything. It wasn't available when I switched to coil. The push ramp up ads a lot of spring rate and the rebound is unnerving. I removed the air from mine since my Avy cartridge has HBO.
