I'm in a market for a cheap chain guide, and was looking at the roox chaindog that i could get for $50... does anyone have experience or any info on them? also would they fit with a bashguard? do they work well? is $50 good price for one? should i just keep the derailleur on?

well i havent personally used it, but the cannondale team uses the chain animals which is the chain cat and dog so I'm assuming they must work pretty damn good considering how well Gracia and Chausson are doing!

yup tehy are very nice i got a rollercoaster and the chain aint ever come off once i got it set up.
i dunno if they work with a bashguard and would be interested to see if they do cause i wouldnt mind running a bashguard.
