Looking at a used RS 454 dual air pike for dirt jumping use. Is this a decent option? Right now I'm riding a hand me down Psylo that works but is undersprung and in need of a firmer spring, fresh seals, and an axle piece I don't have. The pike would hopefully be a more complete unit....but I don't want to shell out cash for something that's not going to be much better.

    behind you, don't wait up.
I have a 454 on my Evil and like it.
I haven't really touched it aside from flipping the gate open/closed depending on where I'm riding.

If the price is right and it isn't obviously trashed it'll be fine.

cool. I just read about a mod for dropping travel via a spacer, so that's cool too, but 4" and firm air pressure should be OK!

I had a 454 u-turn on my Slalom bike in college and I would ride with it slammed, great fork.

sounds good. I'd like to try some shlalom with this bike, but it's kind of a pig.

got it. Have some bushing wear issues but I think I'm going to ignore it and keep my eye out for a cheap new set of uppers.

daydreaming about a new rhythm line.....
i have a few friends that ride the pike on their jumpers. do the slam mod and it turns into a pretty solid fork...
